AREA INFORMATION

ABOUT THE AREA:
This is a farmed ice climbing area. Located in the State Forest just off of Tunnel Road. This will be the 2nd season it has been climbed. It is home to about 8 routes varying in height from 30' to 100'. There are two flows of ice at the cliffs the Main flow and the Left Wall.

GETTING THERE:
To get to the ice, Get off the PA Turnpike at Exit 9 (Donegal) Take 31 East (passing my shop) All the way to the Summit. Drive over the summit and start down the other side. You will pass a stone quarry on your right. Directly across from the main entrance to the quarry and before the entrance to Hidden Valley Ski resort you will see a road to the left (Tunnel Road) Follow Tunnel Road back about until you come to a gasline. Continue on past the gasline to a steep descent. This hill is the only way back out! PROCEDE with CAUTION. When the snow gets deep this hill can be deceiving and has stuck many vehicles. If you get stuck you may be there until the spring thaw or the snow melts. I doubt a tow truck will venture back there to get you out. If you are in doubt, park at the top of the hill at the gasline and hike the 1 mile down to the ice. Other wise drive down to the bottom of the hill
