NEW ROUTE AT THE KNOBS...
During the summer of 1998 Several of us decided to add some additional anchor bolts at "The Knobs" in Dunbar, PA. There were several climbs that were badly in need of top rope anchor bolts. When the consensus decided it was a good idea, we placed the anchors. At the same time there was a line that I had been eyeing up. One of the Knobs pioneers, Carl Samples told me that the route had been attempted several times years ago with no successful completions and that it was an open project. We decided to place top rope anchors and chains to make setup easier and much more safe than tying off to the old dead trees at the top of the block. With the anchors in place I worked the route for several weeks before finally completing the route in August of 1998. I named the route "The Terror of Tiny Tim" using inspiration from the route Terror of Tiny Tom 5.10b, one of my first Knobs leads. Based on other ratings at "The Knobs" this route should be solid 5.12b ranked right up there with Grillers in the Mist at 5.12a/b. Any other opinions on the grading of this route would be greatly appreciated. Hope you enjoy the pictures
