Overview:
Pike Run Bouldering is a nice bouldering area that is located off of laurel ridge between Jones Mills and the summit. It is home to many small boulders and problems. It has seen quite a bit of use in the '01 climbing season and quite a few quality boulder problems have been established. This area has a lot of potiential if visited by local climbers and boulderers. Most boulders average 10’ tall with several cliff bands around 25 to 30' in height.

Getting There:
From Donegal (exit 9 of the PA Turnpike), Take route 31 East approximately 4 miles and start up over the ridge out of Jones Mills. After the first rise you will see Pike Run Country Club Golf Course on your left. About 1/4 mile after that you will come to a parking area for Pike Run Trail a.k.a. (Jeff Barr Memorial Trail) on your left. Park here and go on foot. Hike up the trail passing the small cross memorial near the road. Hike to the top of the small hill until the parking area just goes out of sight. The main trail continues straight ahead on the flat. You want to make a right where the trail levels out. It actually looks like a trail and not an old logging road. It is well used and rather obvious. Follow this trail up the hill paralleling Rout 31 You will arrive at the rocks in about 7min. You will descend to the bottom of the rocks through a small corridor. Start exploring and enjoy!!!
