| Overview: Jumonville is a little crag area that has some reasonable routes as well as some interesting bouldering. It is a destination for the Jumonville Church Camp located a few miles up the road. Jumonville is the Church Camp that has the Large White Cross up on Chestnut Ridge. The cross is visible from route 119 down off the mountain. This area doesn't see a lot of traffic. Its a destination that is best to hit on a warm winters day. Its Southern facing rock makes for perfect sun warmed rock on the warmer winter days. Access seems to be O.K at the current time. I've never been chased out of the area by anyone. If someone does approach you please be curteous and leave peacefully. |
